Newland House Museum
Newland House Nursery
The nursery room is where the youngest two children, Helen and Bernice, grew up.
The pink rocker in the corner was owned by a Newland son, and he would rock his children to sleep in this very rocker.
The quilt on the rack by the window was given to Mary Newland by one of her daughters , and is called the "Sun Bonnet" quilt.
Above the rocker is an oil painting done by a Newland daughter, Jesse, of the original barn that stood where Mothers' Market is located today.
Jesse's husband, John Corbin, became the treasurer of the State of New Mexico in 1922.
The picture below shows the other side of the bedroom with its oak dresser on display.
