HUNTINGTON BEACH...This is a courtesy notification informing you of OCMVCD’s upcoming mosquito control efforts in Huntington Beach. OCMVCD is scheduled to conduct applications on the date and times below:

Shipley Nature Center
Date: Thursday | May 28th
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Treatment for area: Drone application using VectoPrime FG.

Chevron Marsh/John Thomas Oil Field
Date: Thursday | May 28th
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Treatment for area: Drone application using VectoPrime FG.

Harriett Wieder Regional Park
Date: Thursday | May 28th
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Treatment for area: Drone application using VectoPrime FG.

Bolsa Chica Wetlands
Date: Thursday | May 28th
Time: 11:00 a.m. – Noon
Treatment for area: Drone application using VectoPrime FG.

This application is a preventative public health measure to reduce mosquito populations and help lower the risk of mosquito-borne diseases. The product used consists of a biological insecticide that contains a type of bacteria called Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), which is a naturally occurring bacteria found in soil. It is a safe and effective biological insecticide in controlling insect pests in various environments.
