HUNTINGTON BEACH...This week we'll continue to get to know the people whose signs you may have seen along your neighborhood street corners that advertises an open house for sale or even who may have even sold you your dream home in Huntington Beach.

This week we will get a chance to know Huntington Beach real estate agent Patrick Loyd and even if he wasn't born in Surf City USA, Glendora isn't all that far away from our community.

Patrick was born and raised in Glendora, attending Glendora High School and Mt. San Antonio Junior College. To earn a little extra spending money, Patrick first job was as a paperboy delivering the local newspaper.

Patrick didn't aspire to enter the real estate business, but instead wanted to be a firefighter and the excitement that boys dream about of helping people.

Patrick got into real estate as he watched his mother, who was an real estate agent, showing prospective buyers many lovely homes.

He moved to Laguna Beach and the blue Pacific as a backdrop where he started his long career just as Southern California was having a housing boom.

Receiving his real estate license in 1999, Patrick starting working for Shea Homes.

It was while he was selling a home in Aliso Viejo to a young lady, that brought the next step in his life. This young lady Lisa, would become Patrick's bride.

In the span of some 20 years, Patrick has sold over 2,000 new homes throughout our county in such cities as Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach, San Clemente and Yorba Linda.

During these years Patrick became the father to three boys, Tanner, Tatum and Trenton and today the family lives in the Seacliff area of Huntington Beach. The family has two dogs named Hudson and Hurley and a horse named Joe.

For fun, if he can find the time, Patrick likes to surf the jetty and the Bolsa Chica area. He also enjoys stand up paddle board riding.

Presently he is selling in the Brightwater area near Warner and Pacific Coast Highway, working out of the Stanfield Real Estate Group with his office overlooking the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean and the historic Huntington Beach pier in the 300 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
